Welcome to our family-owned webstore! Our passion for Vikings and Nordic culture dates back to our childhood, and we're excited to share our love for these fascinating topics with you. We're based in Iceland and take pride in creating all our designs in-house, ensuring that you receive a unique product that you won't find anywhere else. We promise to never use stolen designs and are committed to providing you with historically accurate information and goods. We may be self-taught hobbyists, but we always strive for quality and authenticity. We're thrilled to launch our store in May 2023, and are dedicated to providing you with reliable service and high-quality products. Thank you for being a part of our journey!

More specifically we are a two-person team with three lovely kids and two idiosyncratic cats:

Birita í Dali (Bun)

The founder and lead designer of the store. She's been interested in Vikings since she was a child, and feel weird writing this in third-person. She has an MSc in education at the upper secondary level, and graduated from the FabAcademy in 2018, giving her a thorough understanding of vector graphics design and rapid prototyping. 

She loves to work with her hands, whether it's painting miniatures (Warhammer and Warmachine) or sewing, knitting, crocheting, or naalbinding. When not doing any of these, she teaches full time at the local upper secondary school and does an eclectic mix of exercise that spans Olympic weight lifting, Zumba dancing and yoga.

Born in Denmark to Faroese parents, she grew up in the Faroe Islands until she met her Icelandic husband at a two-year stay in an international boarding school in Norway, she now lives in Iceland. She speaks Faroese, Danish, English and Icelandic fluently, and loves learning new languages (or old ones!)

Ásgeir Hjaltalín (Ace)

Primary proofreader, quality tester, focus group (or focus person), and lender of support, encouragement, and sanity. Works at a viking museum called

Herjólfsbær where he dazzles locals and tourists alike with his vast knowledge of history and his excellent storytelling skills. 

Born in Iceland, met Bun in Norway, he is trilingual, speaking Icelandic, Faroese and English fluently, with a smattering of Danish and Norwegian. Sharing in his wife's interests, he was the primary "Pressganger" for Warmachine and Hordes in Iceland for several years, and taught others how to paint miniatures and play strategic wargames for nearly a decade.

The kids

Big brother is 10, middle sister is 2 and baby sister is 6 months old at the time this store is founded. Together, they form an excellent source of feedback on products, test durability and quality. (Ms.Two-year-old accidentally pushed one of our mugs off the table within hours of receiving our first ones. It survived.)

The cats

We have two adopted cats. One is a 4 year old fluffy darling who keeps us well supplied in dead mice. She grew up on the mean streets of our lazy fishing village, and is an absolute expert at hiding. Her name is Karma Chamaeleon. The other is an 8 year old venerable lady. As a Sphynx, she has no hair, and her favorite thing in the world is to assist Bun in the design process by sitting on her chest and purring while making it somewhat more challenging to actually get any work done.
